AIRPLANE COMMERCIAL PILOT CERTIFICATION

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Part 141 Program for the Instrument Pilot Rating is designed for students who have completed the Private Pilot Certification Course or the Commercial Pilot Certification Program. This course equips students with the knowledge, skills, and aeronautical experience needed to meet FAA requirements for operating an aircraft in instrument meteorological conditions. The program adheres to the minimum time requirements outlined by FAA regulations, but any additional time or hours beyond these minimums will be billed at the rates established by the school.

Eligibility for Enrollment includes:

  • A valid FAA medical certificate

  • The ability to read, speak, and understand English

  • Airplane Private or Commercial Pilot Certificate

  • Private Pilot Certificate

Program Overview (May vary)

  • 30 hours in-class ground school

  • 10 hours pre- and post-flight briefings

  • 14 hours dual AATD ALX Simulator

​

  • 21 hours dual instruction in a Cessna 172

​

  • 2 hours FAA Exam (Aircraft fee)
